We are first humbled by the sobering reality of the future of the lost, recognizing that God’s patience and judgment should lead us to deeper compassion and earnest evangelism.

 

Yet Malachi also points us toward a joy-filled expectation, reminding us of the sunrise of God’s mercy in Christ, who brings light, peace, and victory to all who believe. This joy fuels our worship, strengthens our faith, and empowers us to overcome the world through Christ.

 

Finally, we are called to a life of worship-filled watching—persevering in doing good, preparing our hearts, and helping prepare others for the coming King. Jesus, the perfect heart-turner, invites us to live faithfully as we worship, obey, and point others to Him.
