Kingdom Living: Part 2
Based on Matthew 6:1–4, we’re challenged to examine the motives behind our good deeds and generosity. Jesus warns against practicing righteousness for personal publicity, reminding us that seeking applause from people results in limited, temporary reward, while giving in secret brings a full reward from our Father in heaven. Through passages like Mark 12:41–44 and John 12:42–43, we see the contrast between outward recognition and genuine, wholehearted devotion. Kingdom living calls us to invisible obedience—doing good, giving faithfully, and leaving the reward in God’s hands. This week, consider: Are you serving for recognition, or are you content for the Lord alone to see and reward?
