Exodus 14 reminds us that God often leads His people into situations that test their faith so they can learn to trust Him in the present. As Israel stood before the Red Sea, God revealed His glory, called them to obey His Word, and demonstrated that salvation belongs to Him alone. The crossing of the sea points forward to Christ, who stands as our Savior and Deliverer, accomplishing the salvation we could never achieve ourselves. True faith is not merely remembering what God has done in the past but trusting Him today—seeing His glory, obeying His commands, and resting in His power to complete the work of salvation.
