Day 7- Thursday, June 12th- Nutrition & Hygiene Clinic at Pastor Benidicto’s Church

Our team’s morning devotion from Matthew 9: 37-38. Pastor John reminded our team’s to:

  • Pray that labors will rise up in Guatemala to go into their communities.

  • Pray continuous harvest come to Guatemala

  • Pray for laborers in America

This was our last ministry day in Guatemala for our combined Guatemalan and American team.

Nutrition & Hygiene Program

Our team participated in a Nutrition & Hygiene program at Pastor Benidicto’s church. Approx 50 moms/dads/grandparents and their children attended. Also, the local medical clinic team and government officials that partner together for this nutritional and hygiene program were in attendance.

1- Our team served each child a nutritional drink and one serving of spaghetti; while serving the adults a nutritional drink.

2- Joyce Noel taught the attendees on their physical and spiritual needs. Joyce shared practical ways the family could improve their overall health through nutrition and hygiene in their homes. She also shared God loves and cares for them.

Cheryl Hasson shared a devotional from  Deuteronomy 6:4-8 and closed with sharing the Gospel.

3- The church provided many nutritional and hygiene items for the children and

our team provided a food bag for each family to take home.

4- Zack led a group of  young men at the church in a Bible study and answered questions  to help them grow in their faith.

Reflection and Goodbyes

Each team member served the Guatemalans and each other with unity this week. We said our goodbyes to our translators today. They quickly became a part of our team. Our team is solely dependent on the Guatemalan Translator and Driver Team to accomplish the mission work that God called this team to complete in Guatemala.

Please pray:

  • Our team was a blessing and support to Pastor Elder, Pastor Jamie, and Pastor Benidicto. Pray they will continue to be strong in their ministries and the seeds that were sown will continue to grow and harvest will come.

  • Pray for safe travel back home. We are excited to see our loved ones. We thank our loved ones for supporting our call and thank our church family for sending and praying.
