Day 6- Wednesday, June 11th- Pastor Benidicto

Our morning  devotional was from God’s Word, Ephesians 1:7-10 led by Pastor John, reminding the team as we go out:

  • 1- Redemption unites Heaven and Earth

  • 2- Reuniting people to God

  • 3- Reuniting one another

Today, we went to a different community; partnered with Pastor Benidicto for the first time, and served in different ways:

Served Elderly Lunch; Provided Leadership Training, Prayer Walked around the community and went on 5 Home Visits.

Elderly Lunch

Approx. 70 elderly individuals from the community came for lunch (only one person was part of  this church). Our team was blessed to serve these individuals lunch and provide each individual/couple a take home food bag. The elderly received more than food for their physical body; they received spiritual food from our team. Several individuals from our team shared words of encouragement, shared the Good News, and Zack shared a message from Matthew 11:28-30.

Leadership Training

Pastor John and Pastor Johnathan trained Pastor Benidicto and his leadership team. They shared scripture on Pastoral Leadership and Worship Ministry. This was an encouragement to the pastor.

Prayer Walking

Our team walked the Main Streets, with businesses and family homes, praying for the needs of the community. It was a very special time of prayer calling out to God for their needs. We prayed for individuals to hear the Gospel and respond, to reduce drug and alcohol abuse, and for children to have the care they need.

Home Visits

Our team had 5 Home Visits with food distribution.

Praise the Lord, a lady gave her life to Jesus!!!  Please reach out to Ruth Frederickson, so she can share about this divine appointment.

After dinner, the team shared ministry highlights, and testimonies of how God worked in their lives this week.

Please pray:

  • The team will remain in unity the rest of the trip.

  • Pray for one team member who was unable to go out today due to sickness will feel better.

  • Pray for Joyce Noel as she will be teaching on nutrition and hygiene and the importance of caring for the next generation's physical needs.

  • Pray for team members that will spend time loving and caring for children - newborn to 2 year olds during the nutrition clinic.

  • Pray for our travel back to Guatemala City.

Thank you church family for praying for this team; your prayers are needed and appreciated.
