Guatemala Team Update #1

Day 1 – Friday, June 19th – Travel Day

Today was a long but exciting day as our church team began our journey to Guatemala! We started the day very early. Arriving at the airport around 3:30 a.m. After a very long morning of traveling, we landed in Guatemala City around 11:30 a.m. Although we are tired, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what God has in store for us this week.

The weather here is much warmer than back home in Virginia. After landing we traveled another 4–5 hours by car through the beautiful countryside before finally arriving at Bamboo. It was a long day of planes and road trips, but God provided patience, strength, and most importantly safety every step of the way.

As we begin this mission, we are reminded that God goes before us and prepares the way. We are grateful for safe travels and for everyone who has been praying for our team. Please continue to pray that God will use us to share his love, serve others well, and grow our faith throughout this week.
