Does It Matter How I Worship: Part 7
Justice and Worship, explores the tension we feel when the wicked seem to prosper and our obedience appears overlooked. Drawing from Malachi 3:13–18, it challenges us to hold our assessments of justice and continue worshiping God regardless of circumstances. We see Israel claiming injustice not from love for God, but from a desire for personal gain—revealing how our own sense of justice, though rooted in the image of God, is marred by sin and must be reshaped by Scripture. God’s Word reminds us that delayed justice isn’t indifference but divine patience, giving space for repentance and displaying His mercy.
Ultimately, future justice—the certainty of God’s righteous judgment and the hope of the Book of Life—motivates faithful worship today. When we look to eternity, we learn to trust God’s character, obey without expecting reward, and remember that where the fear of God reigns, true justice abides.
