I was born in 1961, the eighth of nine children. Our family was Catholic but after my father passed away in 1965, we did not continue attending church.
When I was 10 years old, Pastor John Arnold stopped at our house to ask for directions and, seeing three young children, asked my mother if they could pick us up on their church bus. Surprisingly, she said “yes” and we attended Library Baptist Church, located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA, the next morning. I, along with my mother, brother and sister, heard the true Gospel for the first time that day and we gave our lives to Christ and followed Him in believers’ baptism.
The following year the church founded South Hills Christian School from which I graduated in 1979. I began attending Liberty Baptist College, now Liberty University, that Fall. In January of 1982 I met my wife, Lynn, at Liberty. I graduated in 1983 with a Business and Accounting degree, and we were married in March of 1984. I am currently employed as the Chief Financial Officer of Tread Corporation in Roanoke.
We have been richly blessed with three children, Danielle, Amanda, and Jason, as well as four grandchildren, Emery, Jamie, Victor and Ivy.
Since giving our lives to Him, we have been actively serving our Lord in many capacities including ministering to children through teaching and music, leading praise and worship, teaching adult Bible studies, hosting home groups, and planting and pastoring a church in Endicott, New York.
We moved to Roanoke in 2013 and began attending Rainbow Forest Baptist Church in 2015. I currently serve as the “music guy” for the K-5 kids on Sunday mornings, serve on the RFBC Personnel Committee and volunteer at Straight Street on Saturday evenings. We are looking forward to how He will further use us at RFBC.
