Student Ministry Strategy
To Connect disconnected STUDENTS to Christ, Community and the Call.
In order to do this we will…
Create a fun and relaxed environment with…
- no labels
- and biblical teaching
so that students are compelled to live out a life of serving the Lord.
How do we fulfill our vision?
Connect – Grow – Serve
We want to connect students to 1) one another, 2) adult leaders, and 3) Jesus Christ. We will do this by creating programs and environments that are welcoming so students “come to us”. But we will also actively “go where they are” (schools, sports games, etc.)
We want to see students growing in their understanding of Jesus Christ through reading and understand His Word. We will create weekly opportunities to learn the Word through teaching, engage with the Word through small groups, wrestle with the Word through Biblical discussions and respond to the Word in moments of invitation.
We desire to see students live out the call on their life both to fulfill the Great Commission in making disciples but also the specific calling on their lives as followers of Christ. We will create and facilitate opportunities for students to serve 1) the student ministry, 2) the church, and 3) the community.
How Parents Fit In?
To effectively see transformation in the lives of students we firmly believe in supporting and partnering with the parents in our ministry. Our goal is to equip and inform parents so they are involved in Connecting with their teen, helping them Grow to become more like Christ and joining them in fulfilling the call to Serve.
Student Ministry Theme Verse
I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.
