Elder Leadership Team
Rainbow Forest Church Body
… to help you know and pray for your church leadership
Phil 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Mark 10:42-45 You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
For Church Body:
Hebrews 13:17-18 Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. Pray for us.
According to our bylaws enacted Dec, 2006, pastoral (elder) staff serve with the “lay” elders. Together they comprise the Elder Leadership Team (ELT). Day to day leadership for the church is generally provided by the pastoral elders. Within the bounds of our bylaws, the ELT is the final human decision making body for RFBC.
The goal of the Elder Leadership Team is to provide the spiritual leadership and shepherding of RFBC, working with our Deacons, committees, and each member; all under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and always working for His glory.
