FACTS ABOUT FAITH PROMISE MISSIONS
In the 2005-06 church year, $147,000 was given to Faith Promise Missions.
Our total Mission Budget for 2006-07 is $300,000.
We have around 500 active church families attending Rainbow Forest. If each family gave an average of $6.15 each week to Faith Promise Missions, we would reach our goal.
Only 200 families were active in regular giving to Faith Promise Missions last year.
The Faith Promise Missions Budget is broken down into 4 different sections: Jerusalem (the Roanoke Valley), Judea (Virginia), Samaria (North America), and Uttermost (the ends of the earth). This is taken from Acts 1:8 where Jesus said, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” (NASV)
The majority of the Faith Promise Missions budget is funding mission works in the “remotest part of the earth”. We believe that we have the responsibility of reaching people both locally and internationally, but we have strategically focused on the part of the world where there is little or no access to the Gospel, where there is a shortage of missions funding from our churches today.
