Bridges: Christians Connecting with Muslims

6 Week Study

Since 9/11, the image of Muslims evokes fear and mistrust in most Americans. Yet, Jesus teaches compassion and challenges His followers to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Bridges is helping Christians connect with Muslims. This 6-session DVD Study provides biblical teaching about Islam and what Muslims believe, opening the door for better understanding between the religions.

Each session includes:
Practical, biblical teaching about Islam and Muslims by Fouad Masir
Interviews with Muslims to expand on teaching concepts
Real-life stories of former Muslims now following Jesus
Action steps for applying the material in relationships with Muslims

Week 2: Belief and Ritual
Belief system of Muslims
Basic practices and rituals

Week 3: Attitudes of an Ambassador
Role and approach of an ambassador
Recognizing differences among Muslims

Week 4: Bridging the Gospel
Using similarities between Christianity and Islam to extend the Gospel
Differences as discussion points for sharing truth

Week 5: Tools for Reaching Muslims-Understanding the New Testament’s Credibility
The four books Muslims must read and follow
Explaining how God’s Word cannot be changed

Week 6: Tools for Reaching Muslims-Understanding Jesus’ Sacrifice
Muslim perceptions of grace
Significance of sacrifice in Islam
Explaining Christ as the true Adha (or sacrifice)

Crescent Project is an interdenominational Christian ministry that seeks to train and equip Christians to share the Hope with Muslims. They do this through a concerted prayer effort, practical training, and community-driven outreach. Since 1993, Crescent Project has trained over 10,0000 North American Christians to better understand Islam and extend a message of hope to their Muslim neighbors.
